Yes indeed. Without the willing co-operation of the importer to change things it is very difficult for the forwarder.
I have been told of incidences where the importer complains about the charges to the forwarder but then fails to follow up with the seller
abroad inspite of requests by their Irish
freight forwarder to change things.</description>

		<description>As the No. 1 operator of Groupage from the Far East to Ireland,we have experienced this problem and we have now converted over 90%of the CIF biz. to FOB .The Chinese authorities introduced a law banning below cost selling with punishment of 2 years imprisionment/200 k Rmb fine but they are not implementing this .The Chinese Exporter is booking CIF cargo but they are not paying the freight + they get a rebate from the Chinese Forwarding Agent-Hence the Irish Importer has to pay the freight/rebate etc. on arrival in Ireland.Without the assistance of the Importer there is very little we can do...</description>
